Congrats, can't wait to see that new puppy!
Hi Scribbler,Hi, now that you've had your new SAA for a couple of weeks, I'm wondering what you think of it? Is the quality what you expected? I ask because I'm considering buying one also and I've wondered if it's the top-quality gun that Colt says it is. I'm glad to hear that yours arrived much earlier than expected, but I'm reluctant to purchase something that far into the future. Some have said that the factory is taking up to a year and a half to produce them. For a guy like me who doesn't even buy green bananas...well. Hmm. Still, I'd love to lay it beside my 1885 mfr SAA and admire the new and the old. And to be able to shoot the new.
you can't?Thanks Tom,
I traded bullet for bullet all of my 5.7 ammo for 45 colt when I sold off my Five-seven to buy this so I now have over 500 rounds to work with.
I most definitely will shoot this and use it and love it, I'm looking to go with an El Paso Saddlery setup and take it hunting and other outdoor activities.
I've learned life is far too short to stare at a pretty gun and not shoot it. I firmly believe that when this passes down in generations, the future owners will appreciate that it saw more than just the inside of a box and the adventures it may have been on over the years. The worn finish and small nicks and scratches are memories that go with the gun, and they will enjoy that.
After all, in the end you cant take these with you
Have a great day!

This is custom? In what way? It's a special feeling when a custom gun arrives. I waited about 5 years for my Shiloh Sharps!
