Hi
I was looking for a sight with dis-assembly instructions for an 1851 Navy.
Or just an explanation of break down.
Thanks

It's been a while so no guarentee's.

Put hammer on half cock.

Knock out the barrel wedge.

Turn cylinder so when the rammer is lowered, the ram will rest on the cylinder between chambers.

Pull the rammer down, which will pull the barrel assembly forward.

Remove the barrel.

Twist/pull the cylinder off.

Use a nipple wrench to remove the nipples.

To disassemble the frame:
USE A PROPERLY FITTED SCREWDRIVER OR THE GUN WILL BE MARRED.

Unscrew the screw on the bottom of the grip, and the two screws on the grip frame just to each side of the hammer.
Remove the grip frame and the grip.

Unscrew the screw that holds the main (hammer) spring, and remove the main spring.

Unscrew the screws at the front of the trigger guard, and at the rear of the trigger guard.
Remove the trigger guard.

Remove the trigger and bolt screw and spring inside the front of the frame under the trigger guard.

Remove the trigger screw and trigger.

Remove the hammer screw and slide the hammer and "hand" down and out of the frame.
