I have a Colt 1903 in .38. Nice shape, all original. had a couple years and just got a holster for it. so was wondering what year it was made. Ser # 42xxx. Thanks

Is the hammer exposed or internal? If exposed, 1919 - or 42500 started in 1920.

Are you referring to a Colt Model 1908 .380 auto. If so, it was made in 1921. Is this a .380 pistol or a .38 revolver? You used both calibers in your post.

Colt 1903 (1908 because .380). I think Blackjack probably gave me the correct info. Bad typing on my part.
