Hi,

I have a 1903 Pocket Hammer, .38ACP.
Today I received a new set of grips I thought would fit but they are about 1/8 inch too short.
These were advertised as being for the 1902, which according to my sources takes the same grips as the 1903.
Can anyone help? Was there a difference in grip size between the two, or perhaps a mid-stream change in the 1903?

Hey David,
I have a 1902 Military and a 1903 Pocket Hammer both of 1909 vintage. The grips are interchangeable. I wonder if the 1902 Sporting might have a different grip although I can't imagine why. Is your source Numrich's? I ask because I'm awaiting my grips from them to replace the fairly tired originals I have on the 1903 and am now worried they won't fit. Good luck brother,

Blair

No my new grips are faux ivory from an outfit on ebay.
He says he's sold a half-dozen other pairs and had no complaints.
They were only $20, so I'm not out much but since I've found no other source for ivory or faux ivory grips, it's a bit frustrating.
I thought I had them, now I don't.
