-ca 1922 with original box and paperwork. Every once and a while you can find some gems at a local gun show.

Beautiful,Larry! Looks just like its in a display case in a "Roaring 20's" gun shop.

Probably spent most of its life,in the original owners' desk or chest of drawers. These turn up at times(but all too often they are cheap topbreaks)in this kinda shape.

Wonder if an unsuspecting heir of the original owner(or maybe the original owner,an octogenarian by now,probably)sold it for a pitance to the dealer you bought it from?

Has it been fired? and does brush show wear?

I bought it from a local collector friend. It looks like it a few rounds through it (not many though). The really cool part is that in the bottom of the box was the original NY State license allowing the owner to purchase and carry a handgun (dated 1921).
