What are the 1911 Carbonia Finish Series 70 1918 replica going for NIB? I saw one at an estate sale today. They were asking $1100 which I thought was high.

The carbonia gun is the Model O1911, and they have been selling around $1,800. Colt's also made the Model O1918, which has a black oxide finish. The carbonia guns are a little more collectible, but both models are becoming quite pricey. I've seen the Model O1918s sell for around $1,600. If you can get either gun for $1,100 NIB, that's a great price.
I'm not positive but I believe I saw a post by Hopalong a while back that he picked one up for $1500 NIB. So you might wanna go back and pick that puppy up if you want one. Sounds like a pretty good deal.

Send it to me, it'll go great with my black army
I picked up the O1918 last year and I too would like the O1911 to go with it. The O1911 is a little higher priced like Tim said. That is a steal price for the carbonia O1911. I'm paying for a Python now, but I hope to get that O1911 one day. Tim got the itch for it bad some months ago... scratched it and I think I've started to get the same itch.

Yep, and I was very happy to get one at that price. I would have jumped for joy if I had found one for $1,100.

Mike...Offer it at a much higher price. You found it and deserve to make a handsome profit.
Thanks John, I wasn't going to give it away but will try to make it equitable to both parties. Just my way of saying I enjoy being around you guys.

You will love it, hammer bite and all. I don't have much experience with colts. This is my second. My first was my first hand gun, Colt detective special 3rd gen. I loved it but it had timing issues and I traded it before I was told I could of had it fixed. Now I have the carbonia and love it. I would love a SAA, but we all know Colt anything is hard to come buy. Good luck on the Gun....

Happy shootin all.
Well life is good, I called my contact at the estate sale, he accepted my offer to buy. Details and pictures to follow.
