Does this handgun only take target loads? I was about to purchase one but I had heard it's only a target gun...is this true? I'm looking for a good 1911 5inch that I can shoot ball, I don't ever have a use for target ammo. Should I be looking at a different model?

As to your question...I've fired just about every type of bullet through my GCNM without any problem. So, if you just want to fire ball ammo...have at it, with nary a worry.
