1941 national match colt 1911 45acp

i went to get a used 45 for service pistol.stock 1911,found one 1941 national match colt 1911 45 acp.great shape tight, got home took it apart and it has a grip fire pin safety.no clue ,started looking up info. it has a swartz fire pin safety.seems like this is a rare gun,so do you think i should shoot it,or save it. also i shot 5 rds thru gun 185gr swc.25 yds all holes touched each other so it shoots well.but it didnt feed bullets smoothly, would 185 gr fmj hp feed better. thanks for any info. Welcome to the forum. I suspect an archive letter would show shipment in 1940. There have been some parts changed--sights, barrel, grips--but it is an interesting gun.
