Howdy Lovnik- I'm down in San Diego. I have a class3 FFL (C&R). If the Colt is out of state, it WILL need to go FFL to FFL in spite of it being 50+ years old.

Please.....someone please tell everybody out there that this is NOT a 1911A1!!!!! Not military. NOT nickle. It's a Civilian model....period....1951 mfg. date! I keep trying, but someone keeps insisting it's a 1911A1 (!!!!!?????)

Well shiver me timbers mate. Turns out that neither 1911 nor 1911A1 is correct! It should only be called a 1951 Colt Government model.-- Barry
