Hello again, I am planning on buying this 1951 OMS. My problem is its 4 inch? Ive only seen 1 other 4 inch on whole internet? I know the only way to be sure is a letter? I know grips arent original. Here are some pics, its gorgeous. Ill probably sell these grips and get originals from numerich. In gun values book it says 4 inch where available in first issue? Do you think it goes for fourth too? Any help appreciated. You could also see bottom of barrel? Could not of been cut??

Yes, it's a cut down barrel. There's been a couple pop up lately for sale. There were no Officer's Model Specials made with a factory 4" barrel. The OMS had a limited production run (1949, 1950, and 1951) and all had 6" barrels. I understand that production ran into 1952, but have never seen one...
