Can you all shed some light on what a very nice condition 1961 government model, 99% condition, correct coltwood grips, with just a light assembly scratch, and no box would be worth? $1800ish sound reasonable or is that way off? Thanks!

1911A1 295814C c.JPG 1911A1 295814C a.JPG 1911A1 295814C.JPG Picked this one up this summer, 2017, for $1500 out the door. Both seller and I were happy. Shoots well in my hands. Definitely NOT 99% - note especially right forward slide. So I think $1800 is reasonable IMHO.

Thanks for the replies guys. I had posed the question on one of the Facebook pages and over there they were thinking $1200 tops. I didn't necessarily agree with that as they didn't make too many government models in 1961. I have been fighting the urge to pick it up because I was questioning the price point. I will have to give it some hard thought because it's a cool gun in nice shape. Tax pushes me up a bit, but I May just go do it. I'll have to sell a few guns to be able to do to it, but might be worth it. Thanks all!
