1991A1 calibers?

1269 Views 4 Replies 4 Participants Last post by  Brian Bilby
I've seen Colt's 1991A1 GMs chambered in .45 ACP, .38 Super, and 9mm P.

But I've heard rumors of 1991A1 production in .40 S&W and 9x23. Has anyone seen these or other calibers in this particular model? Just curious!

BTW, the most unusual chambering in a 1911 I've encountered was a Colt's Series 70 GM in 9mm Steyr. About 15 years ago I had a probably once-in-a-lifetime chance to buy one NIB and passed on it. One of the many guns I regret not buying!

The rumors are true and there also some 1911's being produced (by some of the custom gunsmiths) in .357 Sig.

9x23 . .

Drool, drool slobber . . .

I'm hopin' they're in this caliber !
Yes, I'd sure like to have one.
They also made a very limited run in 10mm, both stainless and blue. I have two of the blue ones. I also have 1 38 super, 2 45's and one 9mm. Most of my own personal custom guns are built on 1991's. I would personally take them over a Kimber or Springfield any day and I see quite a few of those coming through my shop for work, especially the Kimbers.
