1st YEAR PRODUCTION COLT ACE .22: Were there two types of triggers for these; a short trigger and a long trigger?

Regular production was the short trigger. I am sure a long trigger could have been ordered special.

More than 1/3 of total Ace production was first year.

A short trigger was standard on an Ace. I disagree with CJS57 about the likely availability of a long trigger on an Ace. By 1931 when the Ace was introduced, I doubt any long triggers were left at Colt, and, if there were, I doubt that one could have been "custom-ordered" on an Ace, but only a letter would (I hope) tell.

I see that the pricing seems to run $3k-4k for a very good condition (90%) one........does this seem right on the price?
