This was in a large box of Woodsman and other Colt parts that I bought years ago. I no longer have any idea where or from whom.

I recently came into a pair of pearl grips and dug this out to see if they would fit. For the first time I noticed the small 1X on the side.

Waddaya think? Sam? Kevin?

PS: the pearl grips do fit.

I think you should get it 'Lettered'.

Or, at least call them and discuss this Frame's "1X' a little anyway.

It may be a late experimental one to try out some prospective change detail or used in final rigging for a change in Milling or Machining or something.
