Why are they listed as model D on the box? The Python isnt a D frame (the new King Cobra is), it is an E or I frame.

Go to the 1st page of this thread. A few posts down you will see the listing from Davidsons (or go to their page, they list the 3 inch, 4 25 inch and 6 inch).

These are new production guns, not to be confused with the Custom Shop examples a couple guys ordered and just received that were posted in this thread.

I believe you have to be an FFL to log into Davidsons. I cannot see any guns on their site...

Why say 3-4 years.... I have two on order already. I hear people say they can never get the 4 or 6 inch for MSRP and have to wait forever. I have purchased at least four from sportsman's warehouse for $1,499 and only wait a few weeks for the 4' or 6'.
