LGS here in Switzerland has two original 3” Python for sale

Combat Python. Supposedly 500 made for Lew Horton

California Combat. Supposedly 200 made

Please tell us you bought them!

Well when I was in the process of trying to get these made I asked for the 3" but they wanted me to go with the 2 1/2" but I insisted I wanted that extra 1/2"....
I figured they would most certainly make the 2 1/2" gun a standard issue.....I appear to have not chosen wisely.....story of my life.

I'd say you still chose wisely!

I wonder how colt settled on a three inch versus a two and a half inch version? And why not offer a small frame fitting service grip. Either is fine by me though.

Maybe it's because original 3" Pythons sell for crazy money, so they figured there would be demand for a $1,500 version.

I was going to put smaller ones on but changed my mind when I got the revolver in my hands. Perfect fit for me.

i seen a few up more pop up on gun broker all of the lgs near me said it’s going be a while before they can get one , all of them have been allocated. i seen gumprime had a few in stock.

OMG, there are two on Gun Broker with absolutely absurd buy now prices: $6,000 and $6,995.
