High prices of 3" barreled Pythons must have everyone cashing in. There's another one listed on GA. This makes number 2 on GA in less than a week. Lately every time I look on AA, GB or GA there's one listed. Next I'll probably see my previously owned 3" bastard listed.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but 3" Pythons weren't made in 1974. I know the Lew Horton Combat version was 1983, and I thought the other factory 3 inch models were around the same 80's time frame. This looks like a replacement barrel to me.

As good a place as any for my first post. I may not remember everything as well as I used to, but I'll probably never be able to forget that I bought a brand new 3" Python from my dealer when they came out. Small combat stocks and I think it said 'Combat Python' although there was no paperwork with it to indicate it was a Lew Horton issue. This wouldn't be so traumatic if I still had it but it went the way of others that I wish I still had. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

It was a lot of fun trading over the years but the list of what's come and gone could make one ill.

If I recall, when I bought that Python, there was also a 3" King Cobra in the case for sale.

No joke,,cause when they do the hard chrome process they have to reverse polarity on the steel before they hit the positive to chrome it,and it etches the surface slightly,so it'll never be a good gun again.Oh it might be saved but it'd take a lotta polishing if one went back to blue.
