.32-20 Bisley goes to the range

I wrote earlier this year about how a friend found this 1912 Bisley, a 7.5" 32-20, in a cabinet here in Hartford county....doesn't seem the gun travelled more than a few miles in the last 100 years. I gave my friend a Navy Luger for it, mostly because it was one of the few Colts' I had never owned or shot. I posted it here, had Doug Donnelly go thru it stem to stern for me, then promptly put it away and forgot about it. I stumbled across a box of .32-20....that made it inevitable it was going to get shot; I put about half the box thru it this weekend. A nice mild cartridge to shoot, especially in the big 7.5" format. I knocked down the metal plates with ease; what a nice revolver. She didn't forget how to do her job after sitting idle for 100 years. It looks a lot better than the picture, I did not even wipe it down.

Nice old Bisley. Thanks for sharing.
That does look like one very nicely preserved one.

Post some closer images of it!
Beautiful. Clean it up and take some display pictures please
Very nice Bisley. I've never liked the 7-1/2" bbl on an SAA, but somehow on a Bisley the long bbl really works for me.

Best regards,

Somehow, or to my Eye anyway, the 'Bisley Model' SAA looks mighty good with any Barrel length.

And of course the long Barrels are the most elegant looking of all.

The Bisley is my favorite Single Action. I've had several in the past, but stupidly traded/sold them off. I'm keeping my eyes open for a decent one at a reasonable price, but out here in CA all I seem to see are no finish/pieces of c**p at ridiculous prices. Out here it seems that Bisleys bring a premium over similar vintage SAAs.

Best regards,

I almost got one several times over the years, and, still do not have one.

Well, I do have an 'Uberti' rendering, and it is very nice, ( long Barrel, .45 Colt ) but, of course, nothing would be as nice as an actual Colt Bisley Model.
I really like the shape of the hammer and grip frame. It seems to me that they look good with any barrel length.I'm not a fan of SAA's but I might start looking for a decent one in .45.D*
I have avoided asking this question about anything all the years I have been on here......but I have to ask on this one as I know nothing about these....what is a rough value of this gun?
