Hi there im new to these here forums. I have a question about my fathers pistol. i dont exactly know the model of it but it takes .38 acp ammo and the 2 dates on it are apr 20, 1897 and sept. 9, 1902. my gradfather agave it to him and i beleive it is from one of the wars. it says automatic colt calibre 38 rimless smokeless. anyways i have never shot it with my dad and i really want to but my dad said they dont make .38 acp ammo for it any more. so if anyone knows more about this ammo or where it can be found i would greatly appreciate it. thank you.

Does it look like this? 38ACP can be found at some old gunshops as old stock. Old Western Scrounger and Georgia Ammo also sell it, I think. I see some on Gunbroker and Auction Arms at times.

as Gunfish said, call "old western scrounger" 1-800-ups-ammo (unless the # has changed) won't be cheap but they load it.
