good afternoon , did colt ever make a .38 special Trooper with 6 inch barrel?
i have seen several 4 inch .38 special troopers and several .357 troopers with 4 and 6 inch barrel , but have never seen a trooper .38 special with 6 inch barrel, did colt ever make this combo ?

Yes they did. The original Troopers were chambered just in .38sp. When the 357 was dropped the Trooper was then chambered in both cartridges.

rj, if majic says so, we can believe it. For what it's worth, it seems to me I've seen a lot more of the 4" .357's than anything else in the original Troopers. .38's don't seem to be nearly as common and 6"er's even more so. At least, in my travels ... I DO think any and all of these are really nice guns - more,"Python Predecessors," if you will!
