4\" Diamondback accuracy ?

How good are the 4" diamondbacks say at 25 yard grouping bench rested? Ive heard the barrels are cut for 22mag so they would be a bit loose for 22lr (or is this just a rumor)?

Don't know where you heard that. Why would they cut the barrels for 22Mag when the Diamondback doesn't exist in 22Mag. At least no one has ever seen one.

Re: 4\" Diamondback accuracy ?

Dick,
I heard that story before and asked the gentleman where he got his info from and he proceeded to tell me how the Frontier Scout came with the 2 cylinders and naturally had the mag barrel. Then he told me Colt didn't have any .22lr spec barrels and they all were magnum spec barrels for all the models. I just thanked the fellow and continued on about my merry way. Where do they come up with some of these stories?

Majic, it beats me. A lot of times theses stories come from people who talk about those nasty, old, bankrupt, over complicated and expensive Colts to justify buying or recommending a cheaper brand.
Real Colt people know the truth.
