My 6" 45 Anaconda is very highly polished. All others I have seen on the net are satin finished. Anyone have a reason for this. The high polish certainly look nice, and gets comments at the range. It and my 4" nickel model 29 44 mag. are most favored among about 30 pistols of various makes.

They made a 1st Edition model in 1990 with a high polish finish. Those were chambered in .44mag, so maybe they did the same when the .45 Colt was brought out. If you aren't the original owner then it may have been a satin model like the rest, but was polished sometime in it's past.
