If you haven't read it elsewhere, my employer, ASARCO Inc, is shutting down the plant where I've worked for the past 23 years after being in business since 1888. We have til April 4th which coincidentally is the same day they opened 113 years ago. They started lunchbox inspections today..... like what am I going to steal? Probably be doing them a favor by taking the small stuff so they won't have to ship it to Mexico.

I'm sure sorry to hear that. They shut down their operation in El Paso, supposedly until the price of copper improved. But a whole lot of people were out of a job.

Yeah, we got the same "temporary shut-down" spiel as the El Paso employees did. Temporary shut-down my ass! What's a little town like East Helena going to do with about 300 balding, middle aged, overweight ex-ASARCO employees with mental problems?
I just applied for a position as a target holder with the Montana militia... real high turnover rate for some reason...
