Did the Commander have the same type of barrel bushing as the Government? I know it was shorter, but did it have the "fingers" like the other 70 Series?

No--the bushing didn't have fingers, hence it wasn't a "70 Series". It was/is a pre-80 Series Combat Commander.

I think most refer to them as pre 80's series as there was never a 70's series commander. Sorry, had to edit,
