A .22 revolver question

I have a reason for asking this. What Colt revolver models could fit this description in 1906? "....small (presumably short barreled) Colt .22 revolver..."

Nothing. The Police Positive Target isn't made until 1910 and The New Line pocket revolvers are gone by 1877.
The Police Positive Target was introduced in 1907, but I don't know if it was available in .22LR that year.
In any case, the Police Positive Target was made with a 6 inch barrel.
The little Colt Open Top comes to mind.

As does the Colt New Line.

While older - they'd've been around in 1906 - still doing their job.

First year for the PPT in .22 was 1910.

DWalt, are you asking if there was a Colt made in 1906 in .22 or an older gun, like an Old Line or New Line, that was just around at that time ?
