Welcome from a Scotch-Irish whose ancestors fled the island centuries ago and stopped only when they encountered the Pacific ocean! If they were on the Mayflower, it is only because they had commandeered it. :D Quite a fascinating hobby range you have there! All that I have which might be of interest is a byf44 P-38 and a 1914 Mauser 7.65. Sadly, no red 9s or Chinese .45s. I understand that there are more of them remaining today than were ever manufactured...

Fascinating to look back at our ancestory & origins. I find it hard to believe that the USA is so young founded only 250 years ago -/+ seeing now how the country has developed expanded in a relatively short time compared to other older developed countries i.e. Yes the Germans certainly were advanced for there time in firearms development. The C93 Borchardt Pistol being one of these of course the C96 Broomhandle Pistol & P08 Luger Parabellum were extremely advanced for there time. Rgds CMR

Hello Charles, and welcome to the Forum. Thanx for joining us. We're always pleased to have another overseas member amongst us. You have indeed found THE place for everything Colt. My father's people (Jones clan) are also British, but of the Welsh coal mining variety. ;) Enjoy!

We are based in the South East of UK Ashford Kent approx 14 miles from Canterbury.
Rgds Charles
I think most of my ancestors moved from northern England/southern Scotland to northern Ireland (during the "plantation"), stayed there for a couple of generations, and then to "the colonies" in the early-mid 1700s. I don't know if there are still any outstanding warrants for them in the UK or not.
