You happen to have a picture of the Dragoon? That is awesome, having a gun that belonged to Elmer Keith.
I actually have 3 of his. The 2 guns pictured below and his Champlin Haskins 338/378 KT that he shot his 50th and last bull elk with, along with a number of antelope and mule deer.

Very nice score for sure. This reminds me that I've got a S&W 27-2 that I need to letter since it supposedly belonged to a gun scribe out of Arizona. Probably a long shot but the gun's so nice it's worth a try. Congratulations.

In 1980 I met Ross and his wife Judy at the IPSC World Shoot held here in Virginia. Ross approached me and said Judy had always wanted to learn to scrimshaw. Well before I knew it he had invited his wife to spend a week with me learning scrimshaw. She was nice enough but I never did that again.
