Fellow on a Texas sportsboard posted this pic of a gun his girlfriend showed him. It belonged to her dad who passed away recently. As stated, it's a .44-40 roll stamped "Colt Frontier Six Shooter", serial # 317xxx. I requested more detailed photos (he's asking for info, opinions, value, etc.). I think it was made in 1911?:
