Do you know about the reason for the journey back to the US? Are there any Belgium proof marks on the gun?Smith & Wesson Model 581-2. Exported to Belgium returned to S&W. Custom grip modification. Mint bore and chambers. Mostly holster wear. View attachment 764806
That's really cool! I like it.I can’t help posting this gem. I paid less for the gun then whoever paI’d for all the work done by MagnaPort! It’s marked as a 25-5 and shoots .45 acp and .45 Colt using moon clips!
Awesome engraving. I've had my eye out for a nicely engraved pistol, just haven't found the right one yet.
Yes there are Belgium proof marks on the revolver, that is how I tracked down as much info as I did.. Don't know the reason for it's return, still hoping to track down additional information, BUT I speculate that Belgium's new Gun laws in 2006 may have been a factor. Since it has Import stamps I know it did not return via S&W.Do you know about the reason for the journey back to the US? Are there any Belgium proof marks on the gun?
I didn’t know they were RB 6” 586. So that’s a 586-4 ?And another new old stock in box with all the goodies including those ugly Hogue rubber grips. Unfired since leaving S&W factory in 1995. View attachment 766168
