Wonder which one is correct. My source says CLW032800 was the first serial number of 1978, and CLW039353 was the first serial number of 1979.

Colt lookup says CLW036528 is 1978.

And another condundrum....TBOCF has CLW032800 as 1978 and CLW032801 as CLW032801, inferring that ONE was made with the CLW prefix in 1978 and then the BB pocket guide has CLW032800-CLW032800 for 1978 and CLW032801-CLW042848 for 1979....WEIRD.....So I dunno
