Hi fellas;

Well, I couldn't believe my good fortune when I found this one so I bought it on the spot. It's a one owner Colt and the owner tells me he's fired three or four boxes through it and that was it. It hasn't been fired in almost ten years he said because he just doesn't get the opportunities to get to the range. I thought that was a bit funny since he's a retired gent living on Vancouver Island. He's pushing eighty years old and says he's not as young as he used to be and walking up the driveway to the club is a real chore for him.

Anyway, here it is, a nice looking Colt Python with a 4" barrel and original wooden stocks. For those of you that asked, the Serial # is: E73631, and if you could tell me her date of birth I would appreciate it.

The gentleman that owns it says he's sorry for the pics as he's not that great with a camera. I'll take a few photos once it gets here and that'll give me an excuse to post it again.

It might be a little difficult to evaluate with these photos but if you'd care to try and let me know what ya'll think about it, that would great.

I meant it when I said earlier that this was a very fortunate time because I'd just got done selling one of my other Pythons to a fellow in Alberta. It's a 6" polished stainless gun (made in the mid eighties). I cried a little letting it go but I paid $1,200 for it a couple of years ago and "let it go" yesterday for $2,500 That eased the "letting it go part quite a bit.

Bud, besides visual inspection, it would help to know the serial number range of the Python since different style stocks appear during certain serial number ranges.

SN would be good. Those were used from the late 70's to early 90's.

Here is some good reading.

They are original. Are they original to that gun, no sure way to tell.

Thanks everyone, and like the dumbell I am sometimes, I just realized I could have looked it up in my Book of Colt Firearms, where it says it was made in 1970

Thanks again fellas, as always, you're a huge help. Can't wait til it gets here.
