All this recent talk here of old Colts and old holsters inspired me dig this shiney little snubby out of the safe. It is a 1965 production Detective Special. It is shown with an S.D. Myres floral carved holster made for the 2" Colts. Charlie

You want the gun or the holster, RC? Ahhh, just kidding you. Both of 'em are too hard to find these days. I think I'll hang on to the pair. This is a good place to hang out for guys who like the older Colts. Welcome aboard. Charlie

Aw, Charlie ... ya' big tease! Congratulations, though. Your DS AND holster are what I'd call, "working man gorgeous." Not the fully engraved, but a definite step up from blue steel and laying in the bottom of the sock drawer, huh? I feel sorry for guys my sons' age - 25-ish, who actually like the looks of a Glock and some ^%$#*&^% rubber holster made in Lithuania or some such. What trash. No class.
