A Non Colt Acquisition
A Massachusets Arms Co Adams Revolver in 36 caliber. Massachusets Arms made over 1000 of them with 500 going to the Union and the balance mostly to Virginia. I suspect this one, serial no 522, went to the Virginia 1st cavalry. The picture included is a soldier with an Mass. Arms Adams revolver in his belt, hopefully someone can identfy the uniform.
