If it is a "Combat Commander" then it was made '70 or later, and it is NOT a "Series '70" - that was only on Government Model guns and used a collet bushing/barrel combination not fit on Commander models. You would call yours a "pre-Series 80" since it was before the fp block safety. I think pre-80 9mm Combat Commanders are very sweet shooting guns; I haven't found a wonder nine of any type that matches it.So it would be a series 70, I thought it was pre series 70, oh well makes me no difference. Still makes an awesome truck gun I can carry this and not have a fit if it gets a little abuse.
