I love the real bone and charcoal color case hardening. That's why I bought a US Finished Uberti 1873 Model. The key to successfully offering them is to have all the vendors lined up to make them as cheaply as possible and deliver finished revolvers built to specifications. If you need to pay $1100 for one so be it! That's about what to expect when you get a regular Italian 1873 model then pay another gunsmith to give it a bone and charcoal treatment. Having the option to order a "Premium" model where it's already complete is just cutting out all the time and effort a customer has to go through, so what a great deal this is after all is said and done.

You can buy the Great Western 2 for $550 new . In minutes the frame , gate , and hammer can be stripped to bare steel. $250 bone charcoal .$800 would be more in line After all they still have Italian proofs.

That's my only issue.

I've seen your custom ordered Italian beauty that we both went through at one time to get, so the Eyetalian proof marks can be over looked in the big scheme of things. I still love my Eyetalian Beauty, do you still have yours? That Open Top?

Rick , You may be mistaken , only Italian SAA I have is EMF Hartford other than cap n ball.

Proof marks in itself not deal breaker but the offered price is too high in my opinion.
My mistake Pat, I must have been confused by your handle "Pat C" , it happens in my advanced age LOL!

Oops, found the other member I confused you with, he is "CraigC" Have a great day anyway!
