Having read the AWA posts, can someone tell me the story behind US Firearms?
Found it interesting that a company would move from Colt clones to zip guns.

Some people who seem to know the situation and individuals involved say the business was more on the line of a vanity hobby by the wealthy owner.
Apparently it wasn't profitable enough to continue, or he just lost interest.
