Yes, I agree that being shipped to George K Prime of Colt Armory "suggests" that this pistol might have been shipped yet again, as it is likely that far more firearms shipped to this individual than he personally owned. But why would this occur? And maybe my hypothesis is not true. Certainly less of a dead end than if this revolver shipped to an obscure individual far from the east coast.

Way back in 1861 a Colt employee by the surname Hartley was having as many as 25 Colt 1860's sent to him. He was selling these. Maybe George K. Prime was selling at the Hartford Gun Club? We may never know.
