Greetings from the Lone Star State, where today it’s 81 degrees and not a cloud in the sky! Boy I hope that statement doesn’t tick off all the northern folks. <BG>
I’ve been shooting for over fifty years, reloading for about twenty and casting bullets for the last ten years. While I do own a rifle and shotgun, my favorites have always been handguns. Over the years I’ve owned close to seventy-five handguns, and currently my inventory includes seven Colts, one Smith & Wesson revolver and a Ruger 22 auto. Five of my Colts are 1911’s, three in 45ACP and the other two in 38Super. OK the last two are IPSC raceguns. My wife and I shot in IPSC up until nine years ago. The remainder of my Colts are what I call “collector” items. One is a 32cal. Pocket Pistol and based on the serial number was manufactured in 1927. The other is a 32cal. Officers Model Match in the box with the tool to adjust the sights, all the papers including the target from the factory. The only time the revolver was fired was at the factory. I have not been able to identify the year of manufacture, so hopefully someone on this board can help me out.
I don’t claim to be an expert on firearms, reloading and such, but I’m always willing to share what I do know.

Hi LoneStar22,
You would have to give the serial number to get a year on the 32 OMM. I've heard of guys calling these OMM but never seen one and I don't think there is any, what you may have is a Officers Model Target as everyone that I've seen and checked was a OMT Pre War gun.

Hi Ira & John,
Thanks for responding.
Ira you make a good point. For some reason I’ve always called my Colt revolver an OMM. However after looking at the end of the box there are two labels that read as follows:
6 Colt’s Officer’s Model Revolver .32
Wood Blue
Above this label is another label that reads as follows:
TARGET Heavy Barrel
Partridge Sight
So using your logic this revolver would in fact be called an OMT. Makes sense to me. Thanks for the update.
Now can I post the SN, and if so under what category? Or, is something like this better handled by a private post? Let me know on this one Ira.
Well John we could say there is safety in numbers, so if we go back to back on the temperature thing maybe our “neighbors to the north” won’t be able to pick us off to easily. And you are right about the triple digits come June. We’ll be begging for a day in the low 90’s!

LoneStar22,
It will be a six digit number, some people are paranoid about giving the full number, don't know why but they are, if your that way just give the first four or five numbers and use a X for the last one or two that will be enough to get the year Mfg. If you would like more info and pictures of all the Colt Pre War Target Revolvers go to www.groups.yahoo.com/group/COLT-1
The OMT in 32 caliber is one of the more scarce ones. Only about 850 Mfg.
