I have seen these with screw heads on both sides. Colt obviously didn't do that for too long. Is it possible to date these exactly?

Early revolver swirled Coltwoods from beginning post war production, ending about 1950. After that matte dark brown Coltwoods with a left side long slot headed screw mating with a domed escutcheon nut fixed in the right grip panel.
