Going through this last batch of Colt Historical letters has been interesting. I had an Army Special that had a checkered trigger and back strap so I thought a letter was in order since this was not a standard feature on this model. Sure enough it came back that it had been special ordered with these features.

OOOooo...!!! I like that configuration. Love the stocks too. I'd love to have one just like it for range and tin can sessions involving single-action shooting. Thanks for posting the revolver photos with the letter.

The checkered trigger on my Bankers Special will eat my finger before vary many double-action cylinders-full of ammunition are fired away.
