Another area I collect is shooting awards.
Shown here is a belt buckle that I purchased last year. I don't know anything about it but it is nicely made and visually appealing and that suggests to me that it was some sort of award given for participation in a .22 caliber shooting competition or event.
Other than showing it off here for fun, I was curious if anyone has seen one of these or has any information on what event it would have been awarded.
The eagle appears to be german silver and the bullseye and black background below is nice enameling work. The general design suggests to me 1940's.
Anybody seen one like this before?
