It looks like it's been fired since it left the factory and also has a ding on the underside of the barrel. Check picture number 8 to show the carbon residue around the forcing cone. You won't see this on an unfired factory Colt. The front of the cylinder also looks to have been cleaned up. I think I'm safe to say it's not NIB! If you want a true NIB Nickel Python I would keep looking.

Is the Box original?

I can't tell you because I don't Know.

Is it only factory Fired?

No It Is Not, The carbon by the latch pin and the carbon over the forcing cone tell the Story of being fired outside the factory.

It is a Nice gun, But It's not that rare either.
It's already bid 1K more than I would Bid on it.

It is not a new or as new revolver.
The box & whatnot seems OK.
The money is........
........well......ludicrous.
$5.4 K?
Not a snowball's chance in Hades.
Not me, and not most guys on here.
Somebody will buy it, though.
What was it P.T. Barnum said?

I’ll be honest and say, avoid this seller. The Python is bid way too high for what it is (a used 8” Python from 1980)

Although it's possible there is someone with more money that brain's out there, I would be more inclined to believe a Shill bid is going on to try and keep the price of Python's at crazy high prices.

Would a genuine and honest NIB Python garner that kind of price? That would definitely price out a lot of buyers.
