I have a Colt New frontier second Generation with the 4 3/4" barrel all tuned by Ed Janus and cylinder matched to bore for perfect .452" . Ive tried Unique and W-231 with 3 differant SWC bullets varying in BHN .Best I can do is at 15 yards about 1 1/4" to 1 1/2" 5 shot groups. When I go for 25 yard groups its horrible.Im seated at the bench with just my forearms resting on a bag and the gun is in the air two handed. What kind of groups are you getting with what loads. Be specific.

I have had somewhat better luck with 5 1/2 NF SAA. The best off the top of my head was with 6 grs. 700x and a 200 SWC bullet at about 2in. at 25 yards. With a long hammer fall by design that is probably the best it can do. Mike
