Seems like everyone offers a 2 inch 22 revolver. I had suggested to Colt after they offered the King Cobra Target, to offer a standard 2 inch Cobra in 22 lr. It is time for them to offer it
I had spoken to Lipseys, and suggested at least a limited run of 22 lr 2 I h Cobras. There’s already all the parts except a 22 fixed sight barrel. Sales rep thought it was a good idea and will present to the higher ups. What I would like combined with what I think will actually sell in volume:
King Cobra .22 in 2.5 or 3”, which ever allows the use of a full length ejector rod.
King Cobra .22’s in “blue”.
King Cobra in .22 magnum
Python, more “blued” options.
Anacondas in .45 Colt.
Anacondas in “blue”.
Who engraved that SAA? More pics to share? Please and thank you!I appreciate that colt continues the production of SAA, although currently very limited. Their liability/legal department must lie awake at night staring at the ceiling in fear of the safety police. I recently reviewed the SAA manual; They all but say to never shoot it.

Call makes excuses while other companies make guns. Has been like that for years. So far the CZ takeover hasnt produced much innovation.I would love to see a 1911A1. Aside from Colt collectors I think there would be appeal to WWII enthusiasts who would want a genuine Colt marked pistol that they could afford and shoot. High demand, low production cost. Seems like a smart move to me.
Don't know what Colt or any manufacturer has in the works, but I doubt I'd buy anything new, so can't contribute my thoughts. How about a 75 year old H&R 923 2-1/2", 9 shot. It's a rarer SA/DA model...it's my only short barrel .22Discussion about that just tonight. Future unknown but there are passionate advocates for a 2.5” or 3” .22. I’m one of them..
I disagree. I have sold several revolvers recently , some 38, some 357, that were safe queens or duplicates. Several were small to mid frame 38 that sold well. I just sold a Colt Official Police Mark 3 38. So for plinking, and defense,,there is still a demand. There always will beIn todays market (the american market, the only one that really counts, the rest of us, are just residual), there is no place for a medium frame double Action revolver chambered in .38 Spl..it is sad but it is the truth...
You mean rimfire like everyone else does? Or like the King Cobra Target 22? If there is no market for them I suggest you take a look at what Ruger and S&W offer. Sounds like you are a Colt marketing person.I can't see Colt wanting to produce any rimfires. A 45 Colt New Service would be cool though. I can dream........
No just an old retired guy. I would not want to work for Colt right now as a marketing person.Sounds like you are a Colt marketing person.
How many major firearms companies don’t offer a 22 rimfire handgun? No just an old retired guy. I would not want to work for Colt right now as a marketing person.
