I might just go after this one...
What did they do to the poor thing's finish I wonder? For it to have the 'look' it has?
Poor thing!!

Agreed, especially if your project was to discover a way to remove heavy pitting without a heavy metals loss. For this, it would be a great project gun.If anyone is looking for an Army Special in .41 as a possible project
gun, this could be your ticket.
It's condition makes it a good candidate for a belly gun, you could go with some type of DuraCoat finish.Agreed, especially if your project was to discover a way to remove heavy pitting without a heavy metals loss, it would be a great project gun.
Yes, but if you do 'dive in' then it ain't gunna be no $89.00 Revolver no mo'!I agree, I would leave it the way it is. That Colt will always get a lot of play from pistol enthusiast. Hell I might now dive in. I like it!
Looks good! That's what my Big Bore Belly Gun looked like before I did this to it. Basically it been media blasted with aluminum oxide and then heated red hot. then dropped it in dirt ATF. This is a New Service in .455 Webley.
