His premise that CZ is now better positioned to compete for military contracts is fine, but he completely ignored all the other firearms manufacturers that have military contracts. For instance, Glock, SIG, Beretta, just to name a few. Colt and Smith and Wesson are hardly the only companies with military and police contracts. Colt has to compete against all those others as well as their owners CZG.

For instance, Glock, SIG, Beretta, just to name a few. Colt and Smith and Wesson are hardly the only companies with military and police contracts. Colt has to compete against all those others as well as their owners CZG.

CZ bought Colt primarily for the MG and Rifle business and a few other things. The handgun market with the exception of the M45 they have never been successful in. Time will tell if they get into the military handgun market. Doubt it though they at this time do not even have a full size striker fired firearm much less a modern one. Additionally, Colt will also be more focused on the international commercial handgun markets.
