After 7 weeks, my 2020 Python finally returned from Colt.
I will say overall the experience was not pleasant but knowing now what all was going on behind the scenes, I suppose it’s expected. At the end of the day, I was still among the few with a new Python and I paid $200 under MSRP so I can’t complain. It was one of the first few that went back to Colt so it was on the front end of the reworking. They had to work on the action since the cylinder would lock up and not turn and they also had to re-machine the muzzle. They were even nice enough to include a nifty Colt Python pin in the box when they returned it. Attached are the return photos, including the new Gen 3 reproduction grips to replace the factories.

Looks good. It should shoot at least as good as it looks.

It was a nice touch that Colt sent you a 2020 Python pin for your troubles. The crown on your Python looks really good now. Please let us know how it shoots!
