Congrats! Are the numbers in the cylinder matching to the last 4 of those on the frame?

This one from1885 sold for $3025 as possible comparison. Highly recommend you order a history letter from Colt. If it has a neat provenance it may increase value.

Cylinder would not be numbered in 1897. Generally this is a very common configuration, so value is totally dependent on condition. I would not be as optimistic on this gun. I expect $1,800-$2,200 in a penny no-reserve auction depending in timing, seller, etc.
