Could someone please help me date a Colt revolver I recently accquired? The barrel has Police Positive .38 Special stamped on it. The serial # stamped on the frame is 4669XX. A large letter E is stamped under the serial #. The grips are side panels and the grip frame is exposed and has rounded corners. Gun is very tight and locks up solid. It appears to be timed perfectly.Grips appear to be checkered walnut with silver Colt medalion logo's. It has a little wear around the muzzle and the front of the cylinder but has no rust. The ejector does not have a shroud. I beleive the gun is chambered for .38 spl. Trigger is grooved. Sights are fixed.
Any information will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
