You didn't state barrel length, but no matter, it was made in 1957 (third year production) and early 4-digit serial numbers will always bring a premium. At a gunshow or gunshop you would probably be looking at $1000-1100 depending on your interpretation of "excellent condition"

The 4-inch "Police Python" did not come out until 1960, and the 2.5-inch did not come out until 1963, so a 1957 Python has to be a 6-inch.
